Northwest Angle Fishing Report for July 24

Fishing has been great at the Angle!  In Canadian waters, the rock reefs in the Little Traverse area have been producing lots of nice keeper walleyes and plenty of 20 inch plus fish with some trophy fish mixed in.  Vertical jigging or drifting with spinners have been the best presentations. The mayfly hatch isn’t over yet, but appears to be winding down.  Muskie anglers have been doing well, with some big fish being seen and caught.  The feeding windows have been short, and anglers who are hitting their best spots during peak periods and weather changes are capitalizing.  Topwaters have been getting a lot of strikes and follows lately.
In Minnesota waters, the areas around Little Oak, Garden Island, Fourblocks, and the reefs at Bridges have bee producing nice fish.  Expect to throw back a lot of slot fish!
