It’s been a good winter season, and now it’s time to watch the ice melt
at the Angle! We hit the ice a couple of times in April with the
snowmobiles and had a great time icing the crappies and walleye. Both
the size and numbers were of fish caught were exceptional, which is why
we love fishing late ice! As far as the melt goes, the areas with
current are opening up, but most of the lake is still encased in a deep
layer of ice. It will be with us for a while, definitely past the
Minnesota opener!
